Lip Sync Battle

All theatre classes will soon be performing in our first ever Lip Sync Battle on January 20th, at 7pm. In class, students have been working in groups on their own lip sync performance (think “Jimmy Fallon’s lip sync challenges”). They’ve been focusing on collaboration, choreography, performing for an audience, and entertaining. The night of the event will include judges, prizes, drum line, teachers vs. teachers, AWESOME students lip sync creations, and more! We are excited to give you the chance to see our students in action! Tickets for the event are $5.

Theatre Arts Teacher

Mrs. Accas has been teaching at Central 11 years. She teaches Theatre 3/4, and Freshman Select.

Miss DeVito assisted in directing Central's spring shows. She will be beginning her first year teaching at Central in the 2017-2018 school year. She is also a Central alumni.

Mr. Harriman just finished his first year teaching at Central. He teaches Theatre 1 & 2 and Theatre Productions

Theatre Arts Teacher

has been in Theatre Education for 17 years. After earning his Master's Degree in Education Administration (2005), he spent one year on the "Dark Side" as an administrator. Quickly recognizing that paperwork was no place to find adventure, Tre John returned to the classroom in 2006 to fight for truth, justice, and entertainment for students and audiences everywhere! He has also written a locally produced play, designed the set for the Midtown International Theatre Festival production of Frame 313 in New York in 2014, and won the 2017 Kelley for Best Technical Direction in Keller ISD.

President – Kris Passow

  • Meet regularly with campus representatives regarding booster club activities
  • Resolve conflict/problems in the membership
  • Sign off on booster club financial transactions
  • Account for booster club money with Treasurer following each performance
  • Provide information for theatre newsletter

  • Assist President with booster meetings and events
  • Assist with fundraising efforts

Secretary - Julie Roland

  • Take minutes at meetings and send out to booster membership
  • Ensure two people approve all items requiring a vote
  • Compile membership email list
Treasurer – Andrea Koos

  • Collect money from directors at least every two weeks and make deposits
  • Prepare monthly budget reports
  • Issue receipts/maintain an accurate account for all money received, deposited, and expended
  • Account for booster club money with President following each performance
Membership Chair – Kim Passow

  • Put together membership packets for annual drive
  • Keep membership database (coordinate with secretary)
  • Ensure proper ticket distribution for shows
Historian – Jenn Smith

  • Take and collect pictures for end-of-year slideshow
  • Create banquet slideshow and prepare senior photo books
  • Create collage poster from each show to hang in office
  • Make end-of-year photo book for directors
Hospitality/Good Show Chair – Susan Roggenbuck and Sonya Hardy

  • Coordinate student meals throughout the year

    • CHS shows, OAP Clinics, Rehearsals, and Competitions
    • Coordinate other meals as needed
  • Musical cast gifts for show nights
  • Coordinate gift baskets/goodie bags for cast as needed

  • Compile volunteer sign-up sheets and fill positions as needed
